Prime accused in couple assault case injured in encounter: Police

Prime accused Mukesh Kumar Sahu sustained gunshot injuries to both legs during an encounter near Tamana forest after allegedly attempting to escape custody and firing at police. Sahu, a history-sheeter, is accused of brutally assaulting a young couple. His brother and two others have also been arrested in connection with the incident.
