Raj Thackeray acquitted in 2008 attack on Railway exam candidates

A Thane sessions court acquitted MNS President Raj Thackeray and seven others in a 2008 case. They were charged for inciting violence against north Indian migrants during a railway recruitment exam. The court found no concrete evidence linking the accused to the assault. Raj Thackeray's defense stated he was in Nashik at the time.
