Retired soldier shoots son dead after he objects to second marriage, dies by suicide later

A retired Army Havildar in Ludhiana allegedly shot and killed his son after a dispute over his relationship with a woman. The 66-year-old father then died by suicide after consuming poison. The son, 38, had strongly opposed his father's remarriage plans.
