Arapahoe Basin Extends Season With 15" of Snow In the Forecast

Colorado's Arapahoe Basin (A-Basin), following a drier-than-average winter, had a planned closing date of Sunday, May 3, 2026.

Ahead of closing weekend, however, a late-season storm dropped 14" of snow on Summit County, prompting A-Basin to extend its season.

On Saturday, the ski area announced it would open for an additional weekend of skiing, from Friday, May 8, through Sunday, May 10. The ski area will still close as planned from May 4-7 before their new final weekend dates.
