Good morning, Mets fans!
Sunday’s game was a disastrous one for the Mets as they had their second bullpen collapse in three days. This time, they blew a 7-1 lead and lost on a walk-off error by Pete Alonso. Ryne Stanek blew a save in each loss.
Yet, the Mets could still leave D.C. with a series split. They won 2-0 Saturday, and will wrap up the series with Game 4 Monday at 4:05 p.m. ET. Griffin Canning (3.12 ERA) takes on former Met Trevor Williams (5.11) at Nationals Park.
