Afghanistan declared largest buyer of Russian Flour in 2024
The Federal Center for Export of Agricultural Products in Russia reported an increase in wheat exports to Afghanistan. In 2024, Russia exported wheat flour worth $80 million to Afghanistan.
Agroexport, a center under the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, announced on Saturday, January 11, that Afghanistan was the largest buyer of Russian flour in 2024. Afghanistan’s domestic production cannot meet the population’s needs, making the country reliant on imported food products, including flour.
