Good morning, Mets fans!
The Mets banged out 14 runs on 22 hits as they won in their sixth straight game, routing the Rangers by a score of 14-2. Francisco Lindor went 4-for-4, and Brandon Nimmo, Mark Vientos, Pete Alonso, and Francisco Alvarez each collected three hits. Nimmo homered and drove in four runs, while D.J. Stewart clubbed a three-run shot to cap a six-run second inning.
This marks the first time the Mets have recorded 20 hits in a game since they rapped out 23 on August 15, 2019, against the Braves.
