THE Bank of England is expected to raise its base rate later today in a blow for millions of households.
The rate is expected to be increased from 3.5% to 4% in a bid to tackle high inflation.
The Bank of England base rate has been rising since 2021It would be the 10th time in a row that the BoE has raised its base rate.
The last time was in December, when it went up from 3% to 3.5%. This followed the single biggest hike from 2.25% to 3% in November.
