Man City move closer to North Stand upgrade

May 5 – Manchester City are getting ready to open the expanded North Stand at the Etihad Stadium. 

The club has confirmed a phased opening for the new seating area, beginning with a public test event on 20 May. The first event will run at roughly 50% of the additional capacity and host more than 3,500 supporters. Tests on crowd flow, safety systems, food and beverage operations, and steward deployment will all be assessed under real-world load before any final sign-off.
