Will FIFA’s half time show tune up or tune out the global audience?

April 20 – The 2026 World Cup Final will have a halftime show. Chris Martin and Coldplay will curate it. Multiple artists will perform. It will be the first in Final history.

Media commentators from Qatar to Europe are increasingly asking why? Does the World Cup Final does not need a halftime show? It has never needed one before and for nearly a century, the interval has been what it was designed to be.
