Brad Pauls knew he was brought in to be the “B-Side” against undefeated Shakiel Thompson in a bout for the IBF International middleweight title. Only he didn’t read the script. Hopelessly behind on points, Paul caught the towering Thompson (6’3″ to Paul’s 5’10”) with a booming right hand, hurting him in the ninth. A followup dropped Thompson who rose on shaky legs.
