Adames Dominates “Ammo” Williams To Retain WBC Middleweight Title
By Boxing Bob Newman
Back on January 31 of this year, Austin “Ammo” Williams saw his chance at the WBC middleweight title disappear suddenly as champion Carlos Adames withdrew at the last second after falling ill due to severe dehydration from his weight-cutting process.
On that night, Williams fought late substitute Wendy Toussaint, winning easily. That victory, however, was not the one Williams was looking for.
The fight was rescheduled for tonight, March 21, at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida.
