Bay Area News Group boys athlete of the week: Amani LaMere-Swift, Archbishop Mitty basketball

Archbishop Mitty basketball player Amani LaMere-Swift is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for Sept. 12-17.

In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Leonard finished with 50.1% of the votes. Monte Vista basketball player Ian Desai took second with 40.2%.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

LaMere-Swift had 16 points as Mitty defeated Bellarmine 66-47 on the road in a WCAL game.
