AC Milan spread their brand in Asia by launching first youth academy in Hong Kong
April 1 – Asia continues to be the most fertile market for European clubs to spread their brands and Italian giants AC Milan are leading the way by officially launching their first youth academy in Hong Kong.
The announcement demonstrates the club’s long-term goals to develop grassroots football in Asia and conveniently coincides with the club’s confirmation of a pre-season fixture against Liverpool, bringing back memories of Istanbul 2005, when the Reds famously beat the Italians in the Champions League final on penalties.
