Galway kicked off their All Ireland Football Championship campaign with a big win over Derry this evening.
The hosts in Salthill came away with a 2-14 to 15 point victory.
The visitors played the majority of the game with 14 men after a first half red card for Gareth McKinless.
Last year’s finalists Kerry strolled to a 24 point to 1-11 win over Monaghan in Killarney.
