There were 259 traffic accidents in Russia over the past day
Over the past day, 259 traffic accidents were recorded on Russian roads, in which 40 people were killed and 320 injured. 32 of the dead were drivers and passengers. This was reported to "Izvestia" on Thursday, January 16, in the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
As a result of 89 traffic accidents involving pedestrians, eight people were killed, another 86 were injured of varying severity. Among the victims are 15 child pedestrians, seven of whom were injured at crosswalks.
