One of the saddest parts of this year that nobody is talking about? The fact that Neil Funk, the legendary play-by-play announcer joined the Chicago Bulls organization in 1991 and called all of their six championship seasons. His calls remain an integral part of how magical that time was. The 2019-2020 season was to be his last as he’d announced he was retiring. Unfortunately the COVID-19 pandemic has ruined what should’ve been a proper tribute to his legacy.
Still, the business of basketball must go on.
