A teenage cyclist suffered ‘serious’ injuries after a crash left him trapped under a gritting lorry.
Firefighters freed the boy from underneath the vehicle as he received emergency treatment from paramedics in York.
The rider, who is in his late teens, was rushed to hospital with suspected serious lower-body injuries on Monday.
It happened on St Helen’s Road at the junction with Tadcaster Road.
