Freelander Reborn As Electric SUV Brand With Multiple Power Options

The Freelander name returns with a fresh direction and a new identity. This time it is not coming back as a regular Land Rover model, but as a separate brand built through a partnership between Jaguar Land Rover and Chery. The focus has clearly moved towards electric and hybrid SUVs.

The first model has been previewed as the Concept 97, a nod to the year when the original Freelander first came out. The production version is expected to look very similar, with only a few practical changes.
