The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is ready to assist in the process of releasing hostages held in the Gaza Strip. The committee's press service told Izvestia.

"The ICRC is ready to facilitate the humanitarian aspects of any agreement between the parties in its role as a neutral mediator.
