Toyota is shortening the bZ4X’s name to just ‘bZ’

Toyota’s flagship electric vehicle with the clunky name, the bZ4x, is getting a makeover for the 2026 model year — including a much shorter moniker.

Now styled as just bZ, the compact SUV is also getting more range, thanks to expanded battery capacity, and an improved design. The front-wheel drive bZ with 74.7 kWh battery will be able to travel an estimated 314 miles on a single charge, while a 57.7 kWh battery option for the front-wheel drive version will get just 236 miles.
