How to mine iron ore for Rhett's Request in Crimson Desert

You'll need to work out how to mine some iron ore in Crimson Desert for Rhett's Request. This giant storekeeper in Hernand gives you one of the first Requests in the game, and it's a doozy if you haven't yet wrangled with the game's not-exactly-intuitive tool control system.
