Barney Calhoun goes to Xen in Black Mesa: Blue Shift's latest chapter, coming later this month

Black Mesa: Blue Shift, the fan-made retelling of Barney Calhoun's pre-Half Life 2 adventures in the Black Mesa research facility (and beyond!), is set to launch its next chapter on November 17.

Originally developed by Gearbox as the second expansion released for the original Half Life (following Opposing Force), Half Life: Blue Shift turned the "Barneys" of the Black Mesa Security Force into a single, steadfast playable character, Barney Calhoun, who finds himself caught up in the central events of the Seven Hour War.
