'Above the rest?': Some citizens to be exempt from taxes

Tengrinews.kz – The Mazhilis has ratified amendments to an agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), which grants special privileges to employees of the Secretariat, including Kazakh citizens. Under the changes, CICA Secretariat personnel will be exempt from taxation, as well as pension and social contributions. The exemption will also apply to Kazakh citizens working within the Secretariat.
