Seven regions in Kazakhstan fall short of waste recycling targets

Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan's Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Yerlan Nyssanbayev, has named the regions that failed to meet waste recycling targets. According to Nyssanbayev, over 4.5 million tons of municipal waste are generated in Kazakhstan annually. "In 2024, the recycling rate reached 25.8 percent, falling short of the planned 30 percent.
