Bombay HC tells Shreya Life to rename antibiotic drug

The Bombay High Court has ordered the removal of Shreya Life Sciences’ antibiotic trademark Lefoxin Biox from the register, ruling that it was too similar to Glaxo Group’s long-established heart drug Lanoxin. The court gave Shreya until December 31 to rebrand and communicate the change, with the new name to take effect from January 1, 2027.
