200 passengers lose their homes at sea as US cruise ship ends global voyage amid rising fuel costs
A US residential cruise ship, The Odyssey, has suspended its voyage in Cambodia after a sharp rise in fuel costs made operations financially unsustainable. The ship, operated by Villa Vie Residences, was carrying 203 passengers and 156 crew members on a planned three-and-a-half-year world voyage. Passengers have been asked to leave the vessel as the company explores restructuring options.
