1956 proposed, 2026 realised: Train reaches Birbal’s birthplace Sidhi for the first time since Independence

A train reached the Rampur Naikin-Churhat area of Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district, birthplace of one of Akbar's Navratnas, Bribal, for the first time since Independence on October 24. The milestone follows the inauguration of two railway sections covering 118 km and advances the 541-km Lalitpur-Singrauli railway project, first proposed in 1956.
