Lakhimpur Kheri violence: SC allows former minister's son Ashish Mishra to visit hometown on Diwali

Ashish Mishra, an accused in the Lakhimpur violence case, has been permitted to travel home for Diwali. The Supreme Court acknowledged the need for a timely conclusion to the ongoing trial. Ashish Mishra, who is currently out on bail, must return by October 16 as per court orders. In the past, the Allahabad High Court transferred the trial court judge due to concerns regarding case management.
