After giving 23 death sentences in six months, judge transferred to family court; he has awarded 13 more in his previous posting

Judge Ravi Kumar Diwakar, who awarded 23 death sentences in six months and 13 more during an earlier posting, has been transferred from a fast track court to a family court in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. His tenure also drew attention over the recall of 97 pending criminal case files and his earlier involvement in the Gyanvapi mosque survey case.
