Centre extends Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh's tenure by one year

Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh has received a one-year extension of his tenure until October 31, 2027. This decision was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet following an official order. Singh, an IAS officer of the 1989 batch, is from the Kerala cadre. His current retirement date was set for October 31, 2026, prior to this extension.
