We have to develop our own AI layer for military services: Defence Secretary

India is restructuring its defense framework by developing a military Artificial Intelligence layer and scaling up missile production. The Integrated Air Command and Control System is being fully networked across platforms to enhance air defense. While legacy systems are upgraded, older platforms are now useful against drone warfare. Defence officials are prioritizing indigenous ballistic missile production to reduce costs.
