Defence Ministry suspends Munitions India executive director Anil Kumar in bribery case

Anil Kumar from Munitions India Ltd has been suspended following his arrest in a bribery case. The Central Bureau of Investigation has accused him of accepting bribes for favoring contractors. Kumar demanded and accepted illicit payments linked to a ₹500 crore ammunition contract. During the operation, the CBI seized approximately ₹2.23 crore in cash from multiple locations.
