Fierce disagreement broke out on the debate stage on Tuesday evening as Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, defended her record against accusations that she had enabled the death of Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero at the hands of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Troy Jackson, her Democratic opponent, argued Collins had facilitated the deadly encounter on the three-month anniversary of the incident by funding what he described as a "rogue agency."
