Only guarantee under VB-G RAM G is technology-driven exclusion, emasculation of gram panchayats: Congress

Congress criticised the Centre over the VB-G RAM Act, saying it guarantees only technology-driven exclusion, centralisation and emasculation of gram panchayats. The party spokesperson alleged the scheme implements additional workdays above the erstwhile Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). The party also accused the Centre of bulldozing the bill through parliament and alleged that the Act excludes millions from Adivasi and tribal communities.
