Keralam sanctions Rs 63.37 crore to clear paddy procurement liability

Keralam has sanctioned Rs 63.37 crore to clear Supplyco’s financial liability from paddy procurement during the 2022-23 season, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Anoop Jacob said. The liability stems from a dispute over the Centre’s prescribed 68% rice recovery rate. The state will renew its demand for a lower rate.
