Google Gmail account dispute: Delhi High Court says commercial email services don't qualify as public function

The Delhi High Court has dismissed a petition by Janta Live Press Network seeking restoration of its disabled Gmail account, ruling that providing email services is a commercial activity that does not automatically qualify as a public function. Justice Amit Mahajan said a private entity’s popularity or the importance of its services to a business does not determine whether it falls under writ jurisdiction.
