Centre denies requesting land acquisition from states for 3 high-speed rail corridors

Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy announced the ongoing alignment studies for three high-speed rail corridors linked to Hyderabad. He clarified that no land acquisition requests have been sent to state governments at this time. The Telangana government is currently facing resistance from farmers regarding land acquisition efforts. Reddy emphasized that any land acquisition being done now is considered illegal.
