Delhi Protest: Delhi Police fact-checks viral video of Jantar Mantar crowd, says footage is old

Delhi Police has flagged a viral video claiming to show a large crowd outside Jantar Mantar ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party’s planned protest against CEC Gyanesh Kumar, saying the footage dates back to July 20. With over 40,000 police and CAPF personnel deployed, authorities have defended the security restrictions, citing earlier clashes, alleged injuries to personnel, crowd safety and Jantar Mantar’s limited capacity.
