Google told to stop forest clearing for two data centres in Finland weeks after announcing its biggest European investment

Finland's Licensing and Supervision Agency has ordered Google to stop work at two data centre sites. The halt affects projects planned in Muhos and Kajaani due to necessary environmental impact assessments. Google intends to follow the guidance of the agency and respond by October 14. The company's €13 billion investment in Finland remains unaffected despite this setback.
