NCP (SP) backs Justice Bhuyan’s SIR remarks, hits out at BJP

The Nationalist Congress Party has voiced support for Justice Ujjal Bhuyan's critical remarks on electoral roll revisions. Justice Bhuyan stated that disenfranchising citizens is a violation of constitutional rights in India. Clyde Crasto accused the BJP of attempting to cover up alleged irregularities by the Chief Election Commissioner. Opposition parties continue to demand the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar over the Special Intensive Revision process.
