Yemen's government declares a major operation against the Houthis

Yemen's government has launched a military operation against the Iran-backed Houthi rebels near Taiz city. An Israeli airstrike in Gaza killed one Palestinian while wounding several others, amid an increase in such strikes. The Houthis have reportedly targeted Saudi oil facilities in recent conflicts, claiming significant strikes. Meanwhile, Iran has expressed openness to diplomatic solutions to ongoing tensions.
