Alex Karp bought 37,000 acres of Swedish forest for $22 million and local hunters could no longer lease the land - why wealthy buyers are looking beyond traditional assets

Alex Karp has acquired 37,000 acres of forest in Härjedalen, Sweden, for $22 million. This purchase has led to local hunters losing their leases for hunting rights previously granted by the former owner. Karp's company, Cladonia Skog AB, plans to engage in forestry activities and preserve the land's natural beauty.
