RBI Deputy Governor Rohit Jain said technology is no longer merely an enabler for banks but is becoming their “risk architecture”, making technological resilience as important as financial resilience. He urged banks to treat technology risk as a first-order enterprise risk, with stronger governance, cybersecurity, third-party oversight and AI controls.
