ASI held for taking Rs 1.5 lakh bribe to drop 3 names from criminal case

Haryana SV&ACB arrested an ASI in Bahadurgarh for allegedly accepting a ?1.5 lakh bribe to remove three names from a criminal case. The bureau said ASI Naveen had initially demanded ?3 lakh and was caught red-handed during a trap operation. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
