Fitch upgrades Sri Lanka's rating to 'B-'
Fitch Ratings upgraded Sri Lanka’s long-term foreign-currency default rating to ‘B-’ from ‘CCC+’ and maintained a stable outlook, citing macro-stabilisation policies and structural reforms that have eased external financing risks. However, high debt, modest foreign-exchange reserves and higher energy costs remain risks, while remittances and multilateral financing provide support.
