Soap & shampoo veg or non-veg? A dot on the pack will now tell you

The Centre has mandated vegetarian and non-vegetarian origin markings on soaps, shampoos, toothpastes, cosmetics and toiletries. Under rules notified on September 21, products of vegetarian origin will carry a green dot, while non-vegetarian products will bear a red or brown dot at the top of the principal display panel.
