Sebi sees potential for Rs 2 lakh crore IPO fundraising as fresh capital gains prominence

SEBI Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey said India could raise up to Rs 2 lakh crore through IPOs, with substantial proceeds flowing directly to companies. He highlighted reforms simplifying market access, rising corporate bond issuance, growing domestic investor participation and measures to deepen capital markets, improve liquidity and expand global investor access.
