China ousts two top generals from party, military over ‘serious violations’

China has expelled two senior military officers, Zhang Youxia and Liu Zhenli, from the Communist Party and the military over alleged disloyalty, corruption, dereliction of duty and other serious violations. The move deepens President Xi Jinping’s long-running military corruption crackdown and comes ahead of his planned US talks with Donald Trump and a key party conclave on internal governance.
