Stellantis takes full ownership of Thiruvallur plant; targets 160 pc production ramp-up by 2027

Stellantis India has acquired full ownership of its manufacturing operations in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, after buying the remaining stake from CK Birla Group firm Hindustan Motor Finance Corporation. The automaker plans to raise production from 18,000 units in 2026 to over 50,000 annually by 2027, while more than doubling its direct workforce.
